Bee jacket – Professional
This is the “tried and true” jacket used by many professional beekeepers. For your protection, the Bindaree jacket has:
- strong removable nylon mesh hood
- choice of standard or collapsable hood
- strong cotton fabric
- elastic cuffs on sleeves and waist
- large range of sizes
- made in New Zealand
Sizes from small to XXXL, generally correspond with the size you’d wear for a jumper. They’re big sizes and meant to fit loose.
Bee suit (standard)
Standard suits are very similar to professional suits below, main difference is in the hoods. Full-length, strong and comfortable, made from 100% unbleached cotton, with attached hood and elastic added to arms and legs. Leg and arms have an elastic loop to keep them extended while working. Zips on legs so you don’t have to remove boots when putting on or removing suit. Sizes based on height, assuming average build, are as follows. If a bit on the heavy side, go up a size. Smaller sizes available for kids, see entry below.

These are the suits used by many professional beekeepers. Attached hood can be unzipped and flipped back or removed entirely. Elastic is added to the arms and legs. Please specify the type of hood you would like: single panel (shown in photo) or collapsable with side panels that fold out from face.
Sizes are numbered from 4 to 15 corresponding to height above five feet. Size chart below assumes a moderately overweight or muscular individual. If thin, size can be reduced one or two sizes from what is shown on chart. If heavy, add one or two sizes to what is shown. If not sure, ring for advice.

Bindaree gloves, goat leather
Quality goat-skin gloves with cotton gauntlets, range of sizes.
Bindaree heavy duty gloves, leather
These gloves are heavier duty than the goat gloves, the leather is thicker and more durable, the wrists (where bees often sting) have about 4 inches of vinyl, and the gauntlets extend up past the elbows. They’re also made in larger sizes to fit people with bigger hands.
