Plastic base in 8 or 10-frame size. Needs two plastic cleats.

Two of these are needed for the plastic base, each includes 3 nuts and bolts.

Timber base in 8 or 10-frame size. Weathertex board and cypress pine cleats. May be purchased assembled (but not painted) or unassembled.

Plastic boxes, lids and bases are often preferred over timber because they are easy to assemble and don’t need to be painted. Also they will probably last longer than the beekeeper. Available in 8 or 10-frame sizes. Note photo shows box, lid, base and lock, all sold separately.

Full depth, finger-jointed, either assembled (but not painted) or unassembled. Choice of 8 or 10-frame size.

Lock and strap hold boxes together; enough strap is provided for 4 boxes.

Same as division board (above) but with 4 plastic or metal corner escapes. Bees can go down but can’t get back up. Good for clearing your boxes of bees before harvest, especially where you have neighbors close by. Very minimal disruption of bees.

Brass, Australian made, 30g, enough for 80 frames.

Full depth – per sheet (minimum 20 sheets) or per carton of 182 sheets.

Roll – 500g (for 200 frames), select stainless steel or galvanised.
